At Dosa Kitchen, the menu is brimming with mouth-watering options. If you're unfamiliar with Dosas, they are thin, crispy pancakes made from fermented rice and lentil batter, and here, they're served with a variety of fillings. The Dosa Masala Dosa is a crowd favorite-filled with spiced potatoes and served with chutneys and sambar. The Paneer Dosa offers a delicious vegetarian alternative, with soft paneer and fresh spices. For an indulgent treat, pair your meal with a Mango Lassi, a refreshing yogurt drink that complements the heat of the spices beautifully.
Dosa Kitchen also offers a selection of street food-inspired dishes like the Kothu Paratha (a delicious mix of paratha, vegetables, and meat, all chopped together), Onion Ragi Pakora, and Manchurian Dry, showcasing a fusion of South Indian and Indo-Chinese flavors.

Came for a solo dinner this evening, the service was amazing from the girls working there tonight. Food was delicious, I’ve been lucky enough to spend some time in South India, and the food and atmosphere took me right back. Can’t wait to return!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful South Indian Tamil restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience! The ambience is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed — a perfect blend of traditional South Indian charm and modern comfort. From the moment we stepped in, we felt relaxed and welcomed. The food was the real highlight. Every dish was packed with authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. What impressed me most was how the food managed to win over everyone at our table — my 70-year-old mother-in-law, who is usually very particular about traditional tastes, absolutely loved it. And even my 8-year-old, who can be a bit fussy with new cuisines, finished his meal happily! The pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes they offer — not too high, not too cheap — just the right balance for a good family outing. Overall, it's a great place if you’re looking for delicious Tamil food in a lovely setting that appeals to all age groups. We will definitely be coming back!
The food was absolutely on point—one of the best dining experiences in Newcastle! Every dish was flavourful and well-prepared, making for a truly memorable meal. The ambiance and service were excellent, adding to the overall experience. Just a small suggestion: offering a warm hand towel or scented hand tissue after the meal would elevate the authenticity and refinement of the dining experience even further. Looking forward to visiting again.
The only “tastes back home” feel in recent days, being a international student I was missing the home food and this place ticked what I was craving for, authentic flavours and the ambience was fantastic as well. Lovely staff overall enjoyed every bit of it. Will be back definitely!! Absolutely love their dosa’s and their lamb kofta’s ! We tried their weekly specials as well which was unique. They PS : would love if they could have a sweet pan after heavy meal :P
The food here offers a unique twist to your normal Indian restaurant due to its South Indian roots. With that being said the food here is exceptional and is one of the best places to go in Jesmond for its quality. I do think the prices could be a little lower for some certain items and service was a little slow for me, for how empty it was. However, still give it a crack!
